After more than five years of research and development, Focal unveiled an exclusive cone made of flax in 2013. This patented Flax cone is a sandwich made of very high-quality French flax fiber placed between two thin sheets of fiberglass. It meets all the criteria of a high-fidelity cone: lightness to offer good dynamics, rigidity to hold the bass, and damping to deliver a neutral, natural sound, without coloration. It is an iconic Focal innovation in many hi-fi products.
