Cardioid mode onSolum Voice S Onyx White works in cardioid mode. Thanks to this, it picks up sound mainly in front, which helps to reduce the amount of background noise registered.
Direct monitoringWith streams and podcasts in mind, the microphone has a 3.5 mm output. You can plug in your headphones of choice and use them as monitoring while recording.
Total signal controlA GAIN knob lets you control the microphone's sensitivity. Solum Voice S Onyx White also has two foam filters - an internal one and one applied directly to the microphone (which is unique, considering its shape!). They help reduce any unwanted sounds, e.g., plosives.
